Looking for a new gaming monitor (UK)

Hi,
I'm looking for a gaming monitor, preferably a large screen with 144hz. I found the Asus PG2788Q ROG Swift 27' and it looked like it had the best features for its price range. But then i found the Predator XR350CUB 35' and I wanted a larger screen from the beginning, so now I'm not sure which one I should get.


ROG Swift 27': £515

My budget is about £600, so the predator is abit over, but I'd be willing to spend a little more.

I know the ROG Swift has a shorter response time (1ms compared to 4ms on the predator) but I'm a big fan of larger screens.

Which monitor would be the better choice? Or is their another alternative?

I also read that the ROG Swif has a lot of faults and can damage your PSU or something?

In my opinion, get the Predator. The Acer Predator series of monitors is an absolute dream for me any many others due to its massive size and functionality. Once you've seen three Predators in a semi-circle setup, you'll never want to see any other monitor again.
As you can see, I have very high praise for this monitor.

I can't find anything online about this Acer predator monitor, it isn't even on the acer predator section of their website.

Is the monitor you've linked an outdated model? Because, on their website ( http://www.acer.com/ac/en/MY/content/predator-x34-series ) there are X34, Z35 and XB1 models only. Although, these are VERY expensive (e.g. the Predator X34 is only £900.)

I don't know what it is, its the model they have on overclockers, if you google it nothing shows up.

I think it's a good monitor. Acer's a reliable brand so it'll be great. And the specs are good (and so is Overclockers) so I can guarantee you'll love it.

aha , I'm going to go with it. All the other monitors I found were very similar, but none of them were anywhere near 35 inch.
