I have an ASUS UX31E. I did a BIOS update to try and fix a battery issue and now when the computer boots after the initial ASUS splash screen I just get a blinking cursor. I can access the BIOS setting so I am hoping it is not bricked.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks for the reply. Where would I find these settings and what should they be set to?

In the bios - set them to what you think they were before the update to the bios. With a SSD, the drive was probably set to AHCI. If a bios update reset the settings to default, and this is what the issue is, reverting back to the original bios may not fix it.

When trying to revert to original BIOS I get a warning message - 'Build date is too old'. Any suggestions?
