I bought a monitor recently, it's a ViewSonic VX2252MH. It's great, the monitor itself looks fantastic, its got a great config system, it's got built in speakers, a cool LED to tell me if it's on or not, and a fantastic 2 millisecond response time. Buuuut, it has one flaw. It's a TN panel.

So I decided after I build my computer, since I'll have a good amount of money left over, I want to get myself a good IPS monitor. But I need some help deciding what's a good monitor or not. Here's what I want:

1. Deep coloring, I love when colors look really nice
2. Response time: I won't be gaming, so I won't be picky, 8ms at most.
3. Resolution: I prefer 2k-1440p, but if there's a really great 1080p IPS monitor, by all means suggest it
4. Price: 200 dollars and less I prefer, but if the monitor is really great, I'll go $300 and less

This won't be a gaming monitor, that's why I'm not going crazy about response time and all that. Also I hear there are other panel types that offer good contrast like IPS, if you know a good one please suggest. Thanks!

I have had a good experience with Dell and monitors including when mine died and had to return it. I bought a U2711 years ago, then bought my sister one for Christmas.
