"One or more network protocols are mission on this computer" after installing usb adapter

So when I installed this usb adapter http://www.amazon.com/Rosewill-802-11AC-Adapter-Wireless-RNX-AC600UB_v2-0/dp/B00Z08VKA6, i had signal, but I still couldn't connect to the internet. I know it doesn't have windows 10 drivers, but it said to install the windows 8.1 drivers, so I did, but it still didn't work. Can someone help me please.

One or more network protocols are missing almost sounds like tcp/ip didn't load or the driver didn't load correctly. make sure device manager shows the device working fine. If it is, then check the properties of the adapter in network connections, and make sure internet protocol 4 is checked.

What? I just went to turn on my computer, and all of a sudden, I have internet!
