I have Windows 8.1 64 bit

If I want to do a proper clean install of Windows 10 (a fresh start), do I need to delete/format only the SSD drive where my OS is installed, or I also need to format my other HDD drive (where my games and documents are) ?

Solution

No, you do not need to do anything with your other drive, except to disconnect it during this process.

SO, are you using the free Win 10 Upgrade, or is this a new purchase of Win 10?

Disconnect you say. So I can just remove the drive from my PC and put it back after the installation ?

This is a new purchase of Win 10 Pro. I am not upgrading because windows 8.1 is offering to upgrade to win 10 home, which I dont like.

Just disconnect the data cable during the process.
