Hello everyone! I have a question about refresh rate. I'm building a new PC and I currently have a Acer XB270HU which I will be selling to upgrade for a new monitor. My option is an Acer Predator X34 which can be overclocked to 100hz refresh rate. My question is this: When I play a game on max where I only get 60-70 FPS does that 100hz help even though I'm not reaching 100 FPS? I'm used to have 144hz and getting 200+ FPS but now its something I need to consider. Thanks for any help!

the 100HZ is only useful when you are playing at or very close to 100FPS. the faster refresh rates just updates from the card more often so to say, but if the card can only put a a frame so fast them the monitor simply cannot take advantage of its refresh rate. 60 FPS will look like 60 FPS, but at 10 FPS it will look like 100 FPS not 60 FPS.

Thanks Robert! I have one other question. My new PC will have a single MSI GTX 980 Ti Gaming 6G. Would it be better for gaming on most modern games at max at 3440x1440 to have two of the MSI Gaming 6G or One
