Constant BSOD's while playing games

I'm getting daily BSOD's while playing games.

Specs:
CPU: Intel Core i7-2600k @ 3.4GHz
GPU: ASUS Radeon R9 290 DirectCU II OC
MB: Gigabyte Z77-DS3H
16GB RAM
620W PSU

Just over a month ago I reinstalled windows but the BSOD's persisted.

Have you tested your memory? RAM errors are common causes of BSOD. Run memtest on each stick individually for one full pass. If any errors show up, the stick is bad. http://www.memtest86.com/

I ran memtest on both sticks. The second stick had no errors but the first stick got an error in Test 13. Is that bad enough to cause frequent BSOD's? Should I replace it?

Yes, if you can duplicate that error more than once. Even one error means the stick is defective.
