want to know if my gaming rig is enough for 2016 or need to upgrade?

ok so thats what i want to know that if my rig can handle games in 2016 or not ?

my rig:-
processor -intel i7 3770k 3.5ghz (oc 4.7 )
gpu - GeForce GTX 770 DirectCU II 4GB OC Edition
ram - hyperx fury 2x8gb(16gb) ddr3 1866mhz (oc 2400mhz)
os - windows 8.1 pro

i just play games in high settings (i dont play in very high and ultra) i love smooth gaming.

if this rig is not enough then i will buy whole new gaming rig

now i have 2.5k $ (saving from almost a year ) and my friend is ready to buy my pc for 750$
so i got 3250$

so what sholud i do buy new one or old is enough for mid 2016 to 2017?

WHat you have is good enough now, espeically for 1080p gaming. you could get a killer 1440p rig for that money, but if you okay with what you have now you should prbably wait for the next gen of gpu

That rig will get you through most games on high, probably even next year. It's perfect for Full HD gaming, but if you want a much greater experience, 1440p or higher, you would need to upgrade.

Well that CPU will be good for another 3-4 yrs, especially with that 4,7ghz, oc.
What is your PSU? the gtx770 is fine for now but for a performance boost you probably only have to buy a better gpu in a few years.
If you're really willing to spend that much money, just buy a gtx980TI, and you'll be good to go.

If he will buying a 980 ti you may as well get a 1440p monitor because having a card like that on a 1080p 60hz monitor is a waste
