how to remove best solution?

hi i posted a best solution on one of my threads by mistake...how do i remove it?

I don't think you can, maybe try to edit the thread - But next time, stop making a new post about this..

No problem. It's an odd thing, the only person that should be able to post a best solution is the OP (and a moderator if the thread goes stale for a long time), so it only stands to reason that the OP should be able to deselect the answer. However, another user can deselect it, so I did.

yeah thats true the op should be able to deselect the answer... its less frustrating for other users.

Rules on selecting BAs:

1. If you started the thread, you can do whatever you want.
2. If the thread originator has chosen an answer you leave it alone, period.
3. If you come across an obviously abandoned thread (2 or more months) with no chosen answer you may choose one.
4. If you come across a thread with an answer that is VERY obviously wrong, or a better one exists, you may change it, unless the answer was chosen by the thread originator, in which case you leave it as is.

We don't limit it to just the OP, because we get a lot of OPs that just post once and disappear.
