I have a Dell Inspiron 3542, 4 GB RAM, Core i3 processor. When I boot the machine, it shows the dell logo with the spinning circle, but it seems to boot a little faster than normal. The screen then immediately goes to the password screen with my profile picture, (I have my Microsoft account tied to the computer).
My mouse works, and so does my keyboard. I can not click on anything on that screen. The computer is not frozen, as i can shut it down just fine with the power button. The password box, the Ease of Access and Power buttons are grayed out, but the wifi button isn't. The cursor moves, but absolutely no response to clicking with the touchpad or an external mouse.
I've had the computer for a while now, and it's never had this issue before. I found out it used to have Windows 7 and was upgraded to Windows 10 before I bought it.
