I have currently graduated high school and have been given a position in uni for bachelors in Information technology and a scholarship to do software engineering is it worth my time to do both

Yes!

If you can handle the course load or just think you can - do both.

Best case you do well and learn a lot. Worst case you may have to roll back a bit but you will still learn and perhaps be able to decide what you really prefer.

Make take extra effort and some sacrifices, e.g., less online gaming maybe...

You will learn other skills; time management, accurate note taking, planning, and how to work efficiently.

Go for it.
