My graphics card is a Radeon R9 380X, and I have a 1080p monitor. I asked if it could max out modern games at 1080p 60+ FPS, and people told me it could max out games with 45+ FPS. So I figured since it can't, and if I'm one day really picky (I'm almost never picky though, I use a Mac, so I'm used to games jumping from 20 FPS to 60 FPS), then I'll plug my graphics card into my other monitor.

But I want to know though, my other monitor, which is 18 inches and 1280x1080, will things look better, worse, or the same than my 21.5 inch 1080p monitor?

1080p monitor: ViewSonic VX2252MH

1280x1080 monitor: Dell 1800FP

Solution
Dell UltraSharp 1800FP monitor features the native resolution of 1280x 1024 which is a lot fewer pixels to drive for 380X that will probably be able to max out every game out there. It however is small and may look washed out. It's better to game on the 1080p monitor with lower graphics settings.

Ah OK, how much different will the ultrasharp look, will it be noticable by a lot?
