Hi Everyone,

I just purchased a new rig (i5 6600k, M7170A M5, 970 GTX), and occasionally when booting up, windows wont start, and other times, my computer wont wake up from sleep. My computer is NOT overclocked. Activating XMP seems to worsen the problem.

Every time this happens, a kernel-system event ID 41 is generated. See below for the pasted details.

Do I need to raise the default VCore even without overclocking?

Any help would be appreciated! Thanks
Ben

Sorry just wanted to add, all drivers are up to date including BIOS (v 1.70 via MSI Live update).

Also, prime95 and intel extreme utility both pass my computer as stable after many hours of testing.

Trying to think of anything else I should add....

I know i'm basically talking to myself here, but, I think I may have found a solution but I can't execute it and was looking for advice.

It seems the Intel Management Engine Interface driver 11+ is to blame for shutdown/sleep issues. I've tried to rollback the driver but that only "rollsback" to another 11 series driver. I've tried directly installing MEI driver 9.5, but it wont even let me open the exe file because my computer does not meet minimum standards. Whatever that means.

So any ideas? Thanks for your help.
