Dual Display Resolution Problem

Hello,
i just connected my old monitor via VGA (i used a DVI to VGA adapter because my GPU doesn't have a VGA port)
So my main monitor is connected via HDMI 1920x1080 and it displays fine but the second monitor is connected via VGA and it supposed to be 1600x900 but for some reason it doesn't show the displays options correctly the only Display options i can see are
1280x1024
1280x960
1280x800
1280x768
1280x720
1152x864
10240768
800x600
Please someone help im new to this Dual Displays stuff
GPU: Gigabyte GeForce GTX 750 1GB

Which DVI socket have you plugged it in to? DVI-I or DVI-D?
