I seem to be having a weird thing where my computer makes the dis/connect sound randomly but especially when I am gaming. There doesn't seem to be a loss in connectivity of my keyboard or mouse as I can still move around in the game.

I'm running a wireless mouse and separate wireless keyboard (i.e there are two receivers connected to my pc)

Also something else that is weird and may be to do with it, my gpu (970) is showing up in the "safely disconnect" menu in the bottom right of my taskbar.

I have no idea what is going on!!

Hi,

It seems to be a know bug with GTX 970 graphics card. It won't affect your gaming experience but you'll encounter some glitches. Please try to do a clean install of the graphics card driver.
- First do try to uninstall/reinstall the graphics card driver.
- Go to Device Manager and uninstall the graphics card driver.
- Next is to check Programs and Features and uninstall anything related to NVIDIA graphics card.
- Once done, download and install the latest graphics driver from the manufacturers site. (NVIDIA).
- After installing the latest driver reboot your PC for all the changes to take effect.
- Set NVIDIA as your default card as well after the reboot.

Thanks! I had ruled out my keyboard and mouse last night with some testing. I then reinstalled everything Nvidia, still making noises...did it again and voila! no more noises!
