So I’ve had a $200 24 inch LED monitor for the last 6 years. I have a $2000 gaming rig featuring an i7 860 and 12gb RAM from back in the day but now with a R9 390. The monitor isn’t great if you look at this review. http://www.cnet.com/au/products/benq-g2222hdl/2/
I want to upgrade this monitor so bad because I now notice how bad the colour banding is and want a more alive gaming experience with such an expensive rig. I would love IPS, 144hz and freesync. The best candidate by far is ASUS: https://www.pccasegear.com/products/32334/asus-mg279q-144hz-27in-ips-freesync-gaming-monitor
That price though… Is it worth to wait a little longer for cheaper IPS panels that can go with high refresh rate, 1440p and freesync or is this as good as it gets for the next half year or so.
My primary uses are gaming and video editing however I am planning to take on photoshop more for a side hobby.
What do you guys reckon?
