First I've seen of that one. All except the first acer one I listed are TN rather than IPS though, so if graphics editing is important, IPS is the way to go.

http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1132443-REG/acer_um_hb0aa_001_xb270hu_widescreen_lcd_monitor.html The price of this just went up to match newegg for some reason. Was $700 even yesterday.

Here is the newegg link: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16824009742

One major thing to consider with IPS is input lag. Even high refresh rate IPS monitors still typically have 15ms - 20ms of input lag (pixel response + processing time). The one linked above has a measured input lag of just 3ms - 4ms. The lowest I have ever seen on an IPS monitor of any type.

From the answers given, I give the following statement: TN is necessary for my games, but IPS if preferred for my photo-editing. Concerning the time spent on those aforementioned activities, I would give the ratio of Games to Photo-Editing a 20 to 1. That is, for every 20 hours of gaming I MAY edit a photo.
