HDMI 1.4, D-Sub, DisplayPort 1.2, Dual-link DVI-D

Solution
2k @ 60Hz either connection type DVI-D, HDMI or DisplayPort in your case will be identical. Dsub is limited to 1080p @ 60Hz according to Asus's spec sheet.

DVI-D DualLink can achieve upto 144Hz using 1080p resolution and 1440p @60Hz. DVI-D Single link is limited to 1200p @ 60Hz

Displayport 1.2 of HBR2 standard can achieve 2k @ 60Hz/144Hz/ 4k@ 60Hz - Make sure Displayport cable has been Vesa certified and is HBR2 if you need to buy one. If Asus supplied you with the monitor that will be fine.

HDMI 1.4 Highspeed standard can achieve 2k @ 60Hz/4k @ 30Hz

HDMI 2 Highspeed standard can achieve 4k @ 60Hz and possible for 1080p @ 120Hz

I guess what I'm really asking is: If I switch from DVI-D to either Display Port 1.2 or HDMI 1.4, will I be losing anything with this particular monitor (ASUS PB27Q). Is either the better choice?

Thanks!
