Hello everyone,

I have a 144Hz monitor (Asus VG248QE) and a GTX 970. It is currently set to 144Hz refresh rate in my monitor properties.

When I try to play black ops 3 I can consistently maintain 120 FPS. However, I always get screen-tearing in game (which is capped at 144 FPS) . I tried changing the in-game settings by capping the game at 120 FPS and by lowering the ingame monitor-refresh rate setting to 120Hz but that didn't help. Any idea on how to minimalize screen tearing without using vsync?

Any ideas on what I can do?

I have both the FPS counter in-game and the Nvidia ShadowPlay FPS counter active. Very rarely, if ever, do I drop under 125 FPS

I'll record something when I get home in a few hours. The more faster I move my mouse in-game the more screen tearing I get

are you sure it's screen taring and not gpu stuttering i know the affects are different but ppl do get the 2 confused and what gpu are you using i have triple vg248qe with the 980ti and it runs with out tarring but tarring still happens on any monitor without g-sync or v-sync regardless of the fps/hz you just don't nodes it as much you could buy the g-sync kit for the monitor that would solve the problem and no v-sync delays
