Planning on getting a really beautiful Samsung curved monitor (2560X1440 27") and I want to play all the latest games at the highest settings, do you think my rig will be good enough to get about >35 FPS? My specs are as follows:

i5 750 (planning to OC to about >3.3)
R9290 Vapor X (planning to OC)
725 watt Sentey PSU
2X240GB Sandisk SSD + 148 GB HDD
Corsair Carbide Air 240
ASUS Maximus III Gene
2GB 1333 MHz RAM + 4 GB 1333 MHz RAM
Corsair hydro CPU cooler

The games I am planning to get are NFS Rivals, NFS 2015 (when it is released on PC) Crysis Trilogy Black ops 3, etc

If you think I should get Crossfire (If you do advise it please help me to do so), or upgrade my RAM please let me know

Solution
You will get much more performance is crossfire 290 setup. Your cpu will also be a limiting factor. Its starting to show its age. The only way to fix is not switch boards altogether. Yes, I highly recommend having not less than 8 gb of ram.
