My GPU VGA port is not working, and I am required to use motherboard graphics

It used to work, but now my monitor doesn't display anything when the cable is connected to my graphics card vga port.
For my monitor to show anything I need to plug the cable to my motherboard vga port.
I tried to go to BIOS and change it so that it prioritizes PCI-e, or something like that that I read here.

I don't know what to do really and I would like some help.

did it suddenly stop working? have you considered that the videocard might have just died so all you have to do is replace it with new 1?

I'm not really sure, is there any other possible way to check if the graphics card really died?

try the card in another computer.

For some reason it wasn't working, I decided to open the PC up and was checking around and didn't seem anything off, i cleaned a little bit around the graphics card and it's working now. Thanks anyway.

In that situation it is also always worth removing and reseating the card to see if that helps.
