Hello, I am currently trying to connect and play my PS2 Slim on my Samsung BX2450 computer monitor. In my first attempt, I connected the component cables from the ps2 into a component to hdmi converter (not upscaler) and from the converter, i plugged a hdmi into it and into my monitors hdmi port. This option didnt work at all, even with me changing the display settings on the ps2 to the component options etc (had to do this blind as screen was all blank). My next thought is a pretty popular device called the Ps2 to hdmi adapter:

However, i heard an issue with this device is it only works if the monitor is able to play a 480i signal through its hdmi port. I'm unsure whether my monitor can, even after reading through its user manual:

Is anyone able to confirm whether the ps2 to hdmi converter will work with my monitor, and if not what other options are there for me to be able to play my ps2 on my monitor.

I would really appreciate any help, thank you.
