Internet connection problems with windows 10 even with killer network

I finished this system a few days ago: **Windows 10**

Thermaltake Core v71 case
corsair rm1000x PSU
AMD 9590 CPU
MSI 990fxa gaming motherboard
EVGA GeForce 980 gtx gpu
16 gb g.skill trident x RAM
corsair h100i gtx closed loop water cooler
samsung 850 evo SSD
ASUS optical drive

I have had major problems with my network connection even after installing the killer network application and other drivers. Before I installed it, my ethernet controller had a yellow ! next to it, prompting me to install lan drivers. That icon has disappeared after installing Killer Network, but I still don't have connection. Does anyone know what might be wrong?

in device manager go to your network controller if it has a power management section untick turn off this device to save power and restart pc

sometimes thats all it needs--dont know why its ticked by default

I did what you said and it didn't seem to work.

Are you plugged into a router or directly into your modem? You may need to reset your modem if directly connected.
