Hi all,
I have a veeeeery old PC that still does the daily chores but I am looking to play games like The Witcher 3, DayZ, Far Cry 4 and so on. I am not obsessed about these running at ultra or 4K but I'd like to have a pretty decent machine that is also somewhat future proof. I have never built a machine before but quite sure I won't have any issues putting it together.
Purchase Date: next week or so.
Max Budget: up to GBP£1500ish (based in the UK)
Monitor: I will be using a TV (at least 1080p)
I will upgrade to Windows 10
Overclocking: Maybe
SLI or Crossfire: Maybe
So I have read a lot of forums, reviews and comparison tools over the past week and this is where I am at at the moment (this is purely based on research and recommendations - I am NOT a component expert!):

Some questions and advice please:
1. General comments/thoughts/ridicule about the list?
2. Is the i7 6700k worth the extra £100 for performance and future proof - value for money?
3. Cooler - I am leaning towards the Corsair H100i GTX (couldn't find it on the list) - I've read it is great but can be loud - anything similar that's quieter?
4. I know the partpicker website says no compatibnilty issues but any experts notice any clangers?
5. RAM - also read that value for money wise faster RAM is better than more RAM and the mobo has 2 further slots for the future. Should I stick with 2133?
6. Video Card - I could probably easily be talked down by a rational person to the 980. I have (almost) discounted the R9 390 - although it has more memory I think the comparative GeForce generally bench better.
7. PSU - estimate is 470W - does a 650W give me enough future overhead?
Thanks so much!
