I have one GTX 970 Reference card in my build. When monitoring the game with MSI Afterburner I can see that it almost completely maxes out the vram with all settings turned up. GPU usage also gets into the 90% region at times.
I understand that if you put two video cards in SLI that it does NOT double the VRAM.
What I want to know is if I do get another 970 and put it in SLI, will it still nearly max out the VRAM? I've read varying answers from different sources and it has left me confused as to how the two cards will handle the VRAM.
Just want to figure this out because if it does lower the amount of VRAM used on each card then I will get another 970. Otherwise I'll just wait to get the 980Ti with 6GB of VRAM.
