When using "Cast to device" in windows 10 to play a video om my Samsung TV (UE46ES6100) I get a DPC_WATCHDOG_VIOLATION.

It does not happen every time or directly but especially with high bitrate clips...

Did already try the "disable fast boot" and the "set standard SATA driver" fixes, both do not work.

Machine is a 1 month old Asus ROG GL552VW-CN322T.

hope some one can help me with this...

Hi,

Please do try these troubleshooting steps that may help.
- Do a clean install of the graphics card driver first.
- Go to Device Manager and uninstall the GPU driver.
- Check Programs and Features as well and uninstall anything related to your graphics card.
- Next is to download and install the latest driver from the manufacturers site.
- Here's the link: http://www.nvidia.com/Download/index.aspx
- Reboot your laptop once the latest driver has been installed.
- Test you PC again after the reboot and see if it will solve the problem.
- Do also run Windows Update and install all the updates available.

ok, I'll try but are at work now.
However why would the GPU cause it to crash when playing on the TV? the same clips play fine on the laptop itself, also no problem with games or what so ever.
