AMD Freesync on Nvidia card

Hey guys I have a GTX 660 Ti graphics card and would like to know if I buy this monitor will there be any benefits of buying it?

also how does a feature such as freesync compare to say a 144hz monitor?

A 144 Hz monitor may or may not have G-Sync or Freesync

* G-Sync - provides syncing of your monitors refresh rate with GFX card and also provided a hardware module that provides ULMB (Ultra low Motion Blur).
* FreeSync - provides syncing of your monitors refresh rate with GFX card.... it does not have a hardware module that provides for motion blur reduction. Monitor manufactures may provie such capability on their own, but (like G-Sync) that comes with increased cost.

You'll be wasting your money. NVIDIA GPU graphics cards don't support FreeSync.

If you really want to use FreeSync then buy a new Radeon graphics card that actually supports FreeSync.

There would be no benefits as you have an Nvidia card, meaning that the Freesync would be wasted. Freesync needs an AMD GPU to work properly.

Furthermore, both freesync and Gsync link the refresh rate of the monitor to the frame rate the card is capable of meaning that there would be little to no tearing of frames. 144hz just means that the monitor is capable of updating 144 times per second, so there can still be tearing and other problems that come if your frame rate is higher or lower than 144hz
