My screen looks like extremely washed out. I have it connected via DVI in my gtx970. Saw arround the web people using it and they have a lot more vivid and crisp image quality while mine looks like greyed out. I run windows 10. Can you help me setting it up? Most people saw pictures or video but not show their settings.

Thank you for your answer. Do you know if it matters that I used DVI for this monitor?

no but the quality of the cable may ??

found this at amazon reviews

''I had noticed that many reviewers will complain about this monitor's color accuracy. That's because they don't understand that this monitor gives you full control over the RED GREEN & BLUE (each has a slider from 1 to 100) Adjust the RGB sliders to your liking.''

seem like the factory settings should be near 100% calibrated and close to right out of the box ??

the catch is in that is ''''I had noticed that many reviewers will complain about this monitor's color accuracy'' maybe something to that?

''On examination of the test results, there is precious little to recommend this screen. The colour temperature out of the box is very good indeed, and the maximum brightness is more than high enough to use in even very bright environments. However, the black levels are subpar, resulting in mediocre contrast, while the gamma is far too low, and misses the ideal value of 2.2 by way more than any other screen, which contributes to an even worse washed out image.

that should not matter at 1080 and 60hz I use single link dvi-I with out issue [several monitors ]

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Digital_Visual_Interface

just to ask can you take your monitor to like a buddies house or to any other computer [cable as well ] another vid card ? to see if any thing changes over your system ?

that way you can see if its the monitor or maybe something else as a cause ???

So should I change the RGB=[100 100 100] or this screen has generally garbage colors?

?? ... cant say

I added to my post above about trying it on or with something else to see if its the monitor or not ?? you cant say its the monitor with out testing options

heck you may of just got unlucky and got the 1 in 100,000.000 lemon ?? happens to us all from time to time

look some of these over and see if you find a resolve in one ?

How can I make sure my screen isn't defective (What I understand from your lemons example)

well , how was you old monitor ?? did it work and look good then you hooked this one up just to see what you got now? I don't have young guy eyes anymore but I dont guess I ever got a display that needed any major adjustments out of the box and looked pretty darn good [maybe a slight brightness or contrast , maybe ? ] like I said above it should be near spot on out of the box to me in my opinion.

but you never know if maybe the dvi cable maybe bad ? maybe somthings up between the vid card and the monitor or the driver used [may try another driver to see] ? windows 10 issue??

for all you know if a mail order it got dropped or bumped just right during shipping ? - this is a part or item I would not mail order unless its to / through a local store like my last one through my local Wal-Mart - if it aint no good just let the wife take I in next time she goes to town and exchange/refund or what ever right there in person on the spot ..

thing is you got to have some kind of way to do a process of elimination to determine if it is the monitor itself or something else just not jiving ?

I do feel it should be right out of the box pretty darn close to satisfying not wow this thing sucks and you fool with the adjustments for hours and still not looking right

this one on on now I just took it out of the box hooked it up and it was looking good I yet to make a adjustment in a year as for as that display color quality looks great with stock default factory settings [to my eyes ]

tough call I mean I'm not there for hands on as you so you got to make a judgment call on what you feel is right to you . when your just not satisfied or happy may need to look at a rma iif you cant work it out with in that rma time frame
