BenQ GW2765HT monitor not displaying native resolution

I`ve just bought the above monitor. It`s on a Radeon HD6870 card. But I`m not getting 2560 x 14400, only 1080p. I have a DVI-D cable. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

I solved my own problem. Although the two dvi slots on that card both have the appearance of dual link, only one of them actually is. I had chosen the single link one (mind you, there`s no notification on the back of the card so pretty poor really).
