Flash Drive Lights Up But Doesn't Appear In Device Manager

Does anyone know a fix for this?

Flash drive lights up when plugged into computer, doesn't show up in "My Computer" or Device Manage. Have tried the following

Tried several computers, didn't show up
Does not make any sound when plugged in
Flash drive has a red light with lights up when plugged in, light DOES come on
Does not show up in device manager
Does not show up anywhere on the computer

Any advice is much appreciated. Thanks.

Can you try it on a Mac?
Or boot with Linux Live CD and see it is sees the drive and contents.
