Issue: On booting up my new-built windows 10 PC, it turns off by itself after about 15 seconds, once it gets to the blue windows logo, having briefly passed through the Asus screen (Press F2 for BIOS etc). When I turn it on again, it boots without problems, even if I leave it for a few hours between 1st and 2nd boot attempts.
Because it turns off at the windows logo, I am guessing it's related somehow to Windows 10, but I would guess there could be many other possible causes.
I don't think it's a power or overheating problem as the PSU is powerful and the system is well cooled.
Specs:
OS: Win 10 64bit
CPU: i7-6700k
GPU: GTX 980 Ti
Mobo: Asus Maximus VIII Hero
Memory: 2x8GB
PSU: Corsair HX1200i
OS is on an SSD.
I've googled this a bit, but can't find any threads covering this specific problem.
Any tips as to what might be causing this issue would be gratefully appreciated.
