Looking for a good monitor for mmo gaming.

Looking for a good monitor to buy, my specs are GTX960, I5 4460, 8 GB ram (not sure if this matters). I know i won't be able to run 144Hz on a 960, taken from other threads i've read, and that's fine. The games i mainly play are FFXIV and Blade & Soul, my budget is around $300-400, i do plan on recording videos, not sure if that matters either.

I was thinking 23-24" i hear the bigger the size, the more horrible the picture gets or something.

24 Inch get 1080p monitor (1920x1080). Anything bigger, get 1440p/2k (2560x1440).
