Can I Run Dual Monitors With Different Refresh Rates And Resolutions?

So right now I have a 24" 1080p IPS 60hz monitor. In the future, when I upgrade my PC, I plan on buying a 27" 2K IPS 144hz monitor. My question is will I have any issues if I run both of there in a dual monitor setup? Obviously I'd play all my games on the 2K monitor and use the 1080p monitor for chat and other stuff. I just wanna make sure that I'm not going to have any problems at all.

If you are watching a movie one display and are doing stuff on the second you will just notice the 2k resolution compared to 1080.
I only said that becuse i used to have a 1080 moniter and a 720 tv you could see the difference and i found myself watch and doing more stuff on the moniter. Now they are both 1080 if your wondering hopeing to upgrade to 4k

Lol so just visually annoying then I'm assuming. For me I don't think it won't matter much as the second screen wouldn't be used for movies or games at any point. As long as it works technologically then I'm fine.
