I have a 27 inch AOC gaming monitor that runs on a single gtx 980 gpu at 144Hz. I want to add 2 cheap monitors to get larger peripheral vision in shooters and am wondering if I can add 2 60 hz monitors even tho the computer is running at 144hz or do I just have to wait until I can make a large investment on 144hz monitors?

I don't think the issue is the refresh rate as much as it is the fact that NVIDIA says you need all three monitors to be the same make and model for 'Surround 3D' (extend game across 3 monitors). Got to this link and enter your configuration at the bottom:
http://www.geforce.com/hardware/technology/surround/system-requirements

I have not actually tried this, BTW. If anyone knows if the 'same make & model' requirement can be circumvented, perhaps they'll chime in.
