windows 10 keep folder icons the same size

When I change the icon size for a folder to medium size, and i return to the folder it has reverted to details. How do I keep the selected size icons?

try running SFC /scannow in a command prompt that has admin rights, It could be something isn't quite right.

How I was originally taught: Set up your folder the way you want it, then CLOSE the folder. The next time you open it, it should remember all your preferences. However, the first few time I tried this after my Windows 10 upgrade this method DIDN'T work.... then after 4 or 5 frustrating attempts it worked again. Teething problems, I guess.

Options.. Change folder and search options.. View.. Apply to Folders.

LASTLY, down the bottom right hand corner of all folders there are 2 small buttons that let you flip between the 2 most common viewing preferences. Very handy.
