Hy.

I have a little problem. About 3 weeks ago I have installed a samsung ssd into my Lenovo G510. I put the old 1 Tb hdd into a caddy, and the ssd into the main slot.

Everithing was well. The laptop's speed was increadible. But if I turn off the computer for a long time, it boots very slow, It stays at the Lenovo title for about 1,5 minutes, and after that is runs perfectly.(This gappens every morning, and every time after school, It happens when the laptop rests about 5 hours, but after a slow boot, when i reboot is is very fast).

I tried a lot of things:
1)The boot order is correct
2)I have uefi boot
3)My drivers is up to date
4)I do not have lot of startup apps.
5)Without the hdd boot is normal.
etc...

My system specs:
Lenovo g510
Microsoft Windows 10 Education
Intel Core i7-4702MQ, 2200 MHz
Kingston 99U5469-045.A00LF 4 GB DDR3-1600 DDR3 SDRAM
Samsung M471B5173QH0-YK0 4 GB DDR3-1600 DDR3 SDRAM
Intel(R) HD Graphics 4600 (1 GB)
AMD Radeon R7 M265 (Opal)
Samsung SSD 650 120GB (120 GB, SATA-III)
ST1000LM014-SSHD-8GB (1 TB, 5400 RPM, SATA-III)

Other notes:
I changed the winrar's tmp forders to the hdd drive, and also i changed chrome's donwload folder to hdd.

any help would be great,
Hy Máté

And also sorry for the bad english :)

Solution
I just looked around, other people with same model and that hdd see slow starts. One suggested hdd was dying, other just fixed it by replacing the drive itself. A 5400 rpm drive will be dragging the ssd backwards. I would buy a new drive and copy everything onto it instead.

As for not seeing drive, best way is take it out. 1tb drives pretty cheap these days, copy anything off it onto another faster hdd. If only ssd were cheaper..

Microsoft normally suggest a clean boot to make sure its not windows: https://windowsinstructed.com/clean-boot-windows-windows/

Try turning off fast boot: http://www.windows10update.com/2015/05/windows-10-tutorials-66-how-to-enable-or-disable-fast-startup/

could try running start up repair: Look in Settings>Update& Security>Recovery>Advanced Start up
This will reboot system into advanced start up
Select troubleshoot
Advanced
Repair start up

It might help. I have slow starts randomly myself and I ran it today, it didn't find anything.

Try Running SFC /Scannow in Command prompt with admin rights.

Wait, find the manufacturer of the hdd and see if they have any new drivers or run a diagnostic tool from them, if it boots normally without the hdd, thats a pretty big clue (slaps forehead)
