Brother printer questions

I just purchased a Brothers 3170CDW color laser printer. It came with a driver disk but it seems to print just fine with the Windows 10 drivers. Is there any advantage to installing the Brothers drivers and other software I will most likely be forced to install?

Also is there any way to see the pages printed count?

If you plan on printing out truetype font based text documents, not much issue when using default drivers. If you want to print out graphics, it might be a good idea to put in the printer drivers. You should be able to install just the drivers without the additional garbage that printer makers think people actually want (when they don't)

Thanks, I do want the best graphics and I was not impressed with the graphics I am getting now. They are OK but not near as good as my Magicolor printer that just stopped working.

You can't compare two different printers, that's likely just a difference in printer quality.
