Hey guys, I know this is a very common topic, but I have tried many solutions and none has been helpful to me. I bought the Philips 242g monitor, but since I bought it I could not reach 144hz any resolution with DVI-D cable, my video card is the XFX Radeon r7 250 1gb, and i dont know if the video card doesnt support 144hz on 1080p or what, so if you guys can help me, it would be great.
There's one weird thing, i can on VGA Set to 1600x900 With 120hz but when i'm plugged in with the DVI cable, it only shows 60 hz on any resolution, from 640x480 at 60hz to 1920x1080 at 60hz.
I've my monitor driver installed and Its updated
Picture of the ccc http://prntscr.com/aepgzf showing the highest frequency is 144hz.
please help me! :(
PD: I'm from Chile, so that why the CCC is in spanish.

Solution

as long as it has a display port . 250x and above. however you would need a lot stronger gpu to be playing above 60fps in order to make use of the higher refresh rates.what is the rest of your hardware?

well i only play cs go so, i think my hardware is pretty ok to get a decent amount of fps

FX 6300 3.5ghz
8 GB G.Skill 1333mhz
XFX r7 250 1gb

on cs:go i get between 200-300 fps. I just want a gpu that can allow to play on 144hz on csgo. :(

i see, make sure you also have a decent psu in order to run gpu with supplementary power need.
