Hi all, I just recently built my first gaming PC with these specs:
CPU: Intel i7-4790K
PSU: 750W Corsair
Memory: Corsair Vengence 16GB
Motherboard: MSI z97 Gaming5
GPU: MSI GeForce GTX 970
So soon enough I will have saved enough to get a second 970 in SLI and I'll be looking to do some 1440p gaming but I also want to see if it's possible to get G-Sync with my budget. Unfortunately I don't have enough for an Asus ROG 1440p so I was wondering could I buy a 1080p G-Sync monitor and use DSR to make the resolution to 1440p? I have heard a lot of criticism of DSR but all I want to know is that will two 970s have enough horsepower to increase from 1080p to 1440p with DSR without having a drop of let's say bellow 45-60 FPS?
If not, then I will just get a normal 1440p monitor and will have to stick with V-Sync and get a G-Sync 1440p monitor in a couple of years when they'll hopefully be cheaper.
Thanks
