problem with resolution when plugging laptop to hd tv (can't get hd resolution)

hi,
My problem is that I'am trying to plug my laptop to a hd tv using an hdmi cable but the maximum resolution I can get to is 1360x768.I have an intel hd 4000 and I believe it supports up to 2k.Iam not sure if the problem is the cable but I was able to get a 1600x900 on a desktop computer using the same cable.And finally the tv definitely supports 1080 resolution.
Iam using Windows 10.I tried shutting the main display but Nothing changes

hd4000 definitely will run 1080.
Sometimes you need to let the tv know the port is connected to a pc by renaming the port to pc in the tv setup.
Which tv do you have?
