Here is a link to my pc http://pcpartpicker.com/p/X36KCJ
I currently play on a 24" 1080p
I do not want faster refresh rate, only 60hz monitors of higher resolution

I mainly play World of Warcraft and League of Legends, and watch a lot of movies, videos etc
but do also play Call of duty and am planning on playing some AAA titles within a few months.

I'm fine with playing WoW and League, surfing net/netflix on higher resolutions, but scaling other games down, would that be worth it?

What resolution do you recommend?
Also about how much does reach resolution (60hz) cost?

Solution
A typical gameplay experience is considered good if you are running 60 FPS on a 60 Hz monitor. That means you get a new frame each 16 ms. Some monitors have 5 ms refresh rate. Some have 1 and some have 8 or more.

Now - a good internet connection for LoL is in the range of 40-70 ms for the lag. On top of that - if you use a keyboard and a mouse with 100 Hz pooling rate - that comes to 10 ms delay when you perform an action.

Using the argument of "competitive" and "edge" for getting a 120 Hz or 144 Hz monitor is somewhere in the ballpark of ridiculous.

If I were you - I would just search for the best Asus, Dell, HP, Samsung monitor at 27 inch or higher, at 1440, with the best viewing angles possible at a good price found at local...

I would stay on your current 1080p monitor as its good enough for your games, balancing detail with performance. because you play LoL I would recommend getting a 144Hz monitor, but if you don't want one, keep your monitor, its good enough.

My pc is overkill for wow and league at 1080p, as why i want to try a higher resolution, said i dont want higher refresh rate and yet you tell me to get a 144hz monitor anyways

I know my monitor is "good enough" but obviously id like more than "good enough".

LoL is a competitive game. in a competitive game you want any edge you can get, and 144Hz will get you that. I know you didn't ask for one, but im still recommending getting one.

anyway, 4k is too expensive, and you dont want 144Hz, so get some cheap korean 1440p monitor.

If you want to get 4K for normal activities and then downscale for gaming you could get this http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16824009844&nm_mc=AFC-C8Junction&cm_mmc=AFC-C8Junction-PCPartPicker,%20LLC-_-na-_-na-_-na&cm_sp=&AID=10446076&PID=3938566&SID=
