Hello Forum:
I have a question regarding .ISO files....

My DVD Burner has tanked and I installed windows 10 using a program called “Rufus” and making a bootable file from that .ISO file…..I did this using the “Widows Media Creator”

Will this also work if I wanted to install a program from an .ISO??? Will it work the same way? Is it essentially the same? Or does this method only work for boot type files???

Am I making sense?
Or will I need to purchase a new DVR Burner (To actually Burn the .ISO and then install)

Solution
Operating System ISOs are generally always bootable. Linux, Windows etc. Programs, no point in having them bootable. Use Daemon tools or similar for those.

I guess unrelated lol....
I used this process to install windows, so I guess my logic (probably flawed) thought it could work for any .ISO file to install programs using the Rufus program/USB Drive

How complicated does this become? Or is it pretty straight forward?
