i have dual monitors of different resolutions, one 1080p one 1440p.
this is kind of hard to explain, but basically if i put my mouse in the center of the screen, about to move it to the other display, it will line up perfectly with the other monitor.

but if i put my mouse near the top or bottom of the screen when i'm about to move to the other display, it will go way up or way down on the other screen. if this is too hard to understand i could probably get pictures.

Like you said - they're different resolutions. So, the center point of both screens will be the same, but even if the size of the screen is the same, there will be a greater "distance" between location as you move away from that center point

EDIT: for example (and these numbers are not exact) in one inch on one screen, you might have 100 pixels, but moving an inch on the other will move 140 pixels.
