The tablet ran out of power during a factory reset and bricked (windows doesn't boot up). I tried to fix it by trying to boot from usb with windows. However I made a mistake and set efi as the second boot choice. The tablet does not boot from usb for some reason and goes straight in to efi. I'm unable to access BIOS during boot.

Questions:
How do i access the BIOS from efi ?
Why doesn't windows boot from usb as it should ?

Any help would be much appreciated as I am stuck on what to do next, I am not an IT specialist but I have a basic understanding.

What type of tablet is it? there might be a way to reset the bios manually. Just need its name.

try spamming F10 at start, it might work. it should be the boot menu.. if so, chose uefi bios and go change boot order to right one: http://www.computerhope.com/issues/ch000192.htm

So you created a win 10 USB and tablet wouldn't boot from it and went to efi instead. I will wait for tablets name before working that one out.

this may work:

I hope I can help anyone else that is stuck in EFI Shell. So solve this I took out one of my ram sticks, which on start up brings up the screen saying "memory or CPU was changed. press F1 to go to set up, and F2 to use default settings." On this screen my keyboard still didn't work....I have no idea...

On this screen my keyboard still didn't work....I have no idea why not. After mashing the F1 key I plugged in an old PS/2 keyboard like you guys recommended. With this keyboard I still could not press F1....I could however press Del on the startup of this screen which took me to BIOS FINALLY! Why the Del key didn't work before the EFI Shell screen but did work before the "CPU or memory changed" screen I have absolutely no idea. After I got to the BIOS it was as simple as changing the 'boot' option from "EFI boot" to "disabled"

Hey ! thanks for a quick response, the problem has now been FIXED totally.
Thank you very much for your help, whilst booting I pressed the windows key on the keyboard and it allowed me to access the BIOS where I changed the boot order.
Whilst with the booting from USB problem I sorted by forcing the boot from USB in BIOS.
BTW the tablet is a Linx 10
