I currently use the Gigabyte card in an X58 platform. It currently is connected to two Dell 2209WA monitors via DVI, with both running 1680x1050. The video card has two HDMI ports, v1.4b.

I'd like to connect a Dell U3415W monitor via HDMI. While I plan to soon upgrade to a new Z170 platform with upgraded video card, I want to go ahead and get the monitor to see if I like it.

If it will work at full resolution, will it be at 30 or 60Hz?

Any insight will be appreciated; thanks.

You can run your new dell display with your old system, just make sure you enable dynamic super resolution or virtual super resolution. You can make it scale 1080p on a 4k display. Personally I trust LG more than dell quality so have you seen this?
