I have a custom built PC. I'm considering selling it with the following spec;

Galaxy Case
Power Supply: XFX- 850XXX
Motherboard: Gigabyte GA- 790A-DS3P
Processor: AMD FX- 8350 Black
RAM: Hyper X Fury 8GB DDR3
Graphics Card: GeForce GTX 650

Could someone please give me an estimate of how much this system is worth?

Well, it would cost about $575 to build this system, but that would be new. For this one, it depends on the condition of the machine, and how big of a community you are trying to sell it to. If you post it in a large city, you will have more people that would be willing to buy, so you could ask more. If you live (and are trying to sell to a small town... well good luck! I would probably try to sell it for around $350 - $475. Hope I helped!

The only problem with ebay is they charge 10% and it would cost a fortune to ship that thing across the world.

If on eBay, what would be a good starting price to for an auction?

What is the LEAST amount of money you would take for it? Start it at that price!

£400 would be the least I would accept for it. I also forgot to mention I have a HYPER 212 EVO Cooler for CPU

Then I would just start the bidding at £400.

With a GT650? Not even close. I'd say more like £200 when you take depreciation into account. Honestly with a system like that you're better off stripping the parts and selling them individually than you are trying to sell the system as a whole. You will get more money for it that way.

What do you think eBay or gumtree would be the best site to sell the items individually on?

I've personally sold a lot of stuff on eBay so that's probably your best bet. I have not heard of Gumtree.

It's the UK's Craiglist/Kijiji or similar.

Ultimately OP, you might be able to sell it locally, but you'd need to have a somewhat sizeable community.

eBay gives you the broadest field to sell it, but then you have to factor in the percentage of the sale they get, and shipping fees.

You'd be better selling locally for 350 than selling it on eBay for 400 (well, very similar anyway) but parting it out, you'd likely need to broadest audience you can get .
