My Pc Tower Has Hdmi on the motherboard and DVI on the graphics card but my monitor has Hdmi and vga. Should i get an adapter?

I custom built my pc but i dont know how to get the display going because i tried just Hdmi but nothing shows and i look and Dvi to Vga converters but people say they are scams idk what to do help is much appreciated

Get an adapter. The graphics card will be far more powerful than the CPU as far as graphics go.

Look up dvi to HDMI adapter. That will get you in the right direction.

ive read up and since both HDMI and DVI are both digital is should work right and not analog becuase ive seen people get scammed from VGA to Dvi but that dosnt work because its a mess trying to make digital to analog thanks for the response
