Dual monitor setup - "The display settings could not be saved"

I want to use an old laptop I have lying around as a secondary monitor with ZoneScreen. However, when I try to extend my display on my main Windows 10 laptop to that computer, I get the following error message; The display settings could not be saved. Please try a different combination of display settings. How would I fix this? Thanks!

I tried it and it ultimately failed... I debugged it and I haven't got it to work. I've tried updating Windows and restarting for ZoneScreen. Now it works, thanks anyways
