Intel core duo quad Q9650 or i5?

On paper the Q9650 competes with modern i7's in many aspects, but for less than 100$. I have an i5 4460 and feel like i could've gotten a much better price for identical performance from the Q9650. What would the sacrifices be (besides DDR2 on most LGA775 boards)? Anyone here still use it or have in the past? Would you recommend it for modern gaming?

Update: i just found the Intel Xeon e5450 which is essentially the same cpu for 45$

I dont know what drugs you are on if you think a Core2Quad can compete with a modern i7 hell even modern i3's would destroy it

an i5 4460 will destroy both of those cpu's
too many draw backs to using an old board nowadays its a waste going backwards man.

well, to answer your question, I actually advice you to watch some Benchmarks videos with the Q9650 Overlocked or not, and see by your onw eyes what the Q9650 is cable of.
