My audio stopped working after Windows updated today. I have a Logitech G35 Headset (USB connection) with Realtek audio drivers. When I set the default sound device to the headset Skype sounds work but everything else doesn't. When I set it to the Realtek Digital Output the system sounds work but nothing else does. Before this update I've just always had the Realtek Digital Output disabled and everything worked fine. I can provide screenshots and info as needed.

Hi,

Here are some troubleshooting steps that may help.
- First is to uninstall/reinstall the Realtek driver.
- Open Device Manager and uninstall the Realtek sound card driver.
- Once done, download and install the latest sound driver from the manufacturer site of the Motherboard.
- Reboot the PC once the driver has been installed.
- After the reboot do also set your headset as the default Playback device and see if it will work or not.
- If all these will not work uninstall/reinstall the Logitech software as well.
- Open Programs and Features then uninstall anything related to Logitech.
- Next is to download and install the Logitech software again.
- Here's the link: http://support.logitech.com/en_us/product/g35-surround-sound-headset#download
- Reboot the PC again and see if it solve the problem or not.
- If all these will still not work, last option would be to run System Restore and restore it back to when it was working normally or before the update.
